How to Growth Hack your Business with a Cookout

Pitching your business ideas to friends, family, and others can often be frightening. The fact of the matter is that you must start somewhere. If you have already settled on making your idea a reality and only lack the backing, sometimes you need to step out of your comfort zone to make the business launch publicized! As scary as it may sound, you do not have to do so on a larger scale. Start with a simple cookout at your home.

A cookout serves as a great place to pitch your business ideas and opportunities. Simply invite everyone that you want to get in front of to your home for a good time out. Create a mini networking event in order to spark conversation between your peers and take this time to benefit your business.
Have some form of presentation, introduction, or preview prepared to display to your visitors and have it in your mind to comfortably elaborate on it. People will question you and the last thing you want to do is not have the answer to the questions. Prepare yourself to make a good first impression and be sure to stress both why your are doing what you are doing and how it may benefit them. If it does not impress or provide benefit to their lives, your guests will lose interest and likely not want to return. Have fun but be sure to let others know that you are confident in what you are bringing to the table!

  1. Who doesn’t love a cookout?! Great idea. Here’s my question – Is it prudent to tell the folks you’re inviting that it’s not just gonna be a cookout; that it’s a business presentation//launch, as well?… or do you just surprise them?

    1. It totally depends on the situation; if you have something that helps people, it should hurt to kinda surprise with your idea butttt if you are looking specifically for backing, investments, and down right business then I would recommend informing them ahead of time…. But as long as you have good intentions to creat a fun environment then it won’t hurt to introduce the idea on the spur of the moment while everyone is together 🙂
