Make the Change and Reinvest for Your Future

What have you done today for tomorrow?

If there is one single thing that makes me grind my teeth, it is watching people proclaim their upcoming success whilst boosting up themselves without backing up their work. Often I here “I’m going to be something special one day!” or “People doubt my potential but just wait..”. My issue is why make a statement about the future if you are still living in the past?

Living on a college campus as a freshman, I see people repeat these proclamations over and over and still struggle with the same issues. Whether it be struggling with getting what they “deserve” in the sport they play or building their future, the mere fact that people get short spurts of motivation and claim that they are making a change, without following through, really grabs my curiosity.
Life is short and all I can say is that faith without work is dead! It’s the simple truth. If you wake up tomorrow and are at the same point in life that you are today, you aren’t doing something right. If you TRULY want to make something of your life, you must make that change right now. Stop making excuses and just do it!
My roommate and I are only college freshman and we find it funny that people question our habits of work. We have developed the mentality to working during our free times on something bigger than the average, complacent mind could ever comprehend. Like everyone else, we strive to achieve extreme success within our endeavors. Contrary to that fact, we can’t find a single reason as to why we can’t start today, which is exactly what we did several months ago.
Moral of the story? If you really want to live a prosperous life, start early and start now. Everyday that you go to sleep having done nothing extra to benefit yourself is a day wasted. Do yourself a favor and start investing in yourself because it will pay off in years to come.
